When you're out all day, or coming home from taking your dog to the dog park, there are times when you want to grab a bite to eat with your four-legged friend in tow. You can always go to a fast food restaurant drive-through or purchase food to go at many restaurants. But, what if you you’re tired of Taco Bell take out or picking up Applebee’s Carside To Go?

There is an increasing demand for restaurants that offer dog-friendly, outdoor seating. Knowing this, the question does arise: Which Kansas City restaurants do allow dogs on their patio?

Never fear! Our dedicated Pack has been scouring the metro area looking for places that allow dogs to dine on the patio with their human companions. We list places that we know allow dogs on their patio.

If you know a place that welcomes dogs on their patio or is rumored to, please let us know. We'll check them out and let you know.

NOTE: It is important to remember dog dining etiquette for humans as well as dogs. If you're in doubt if your dog is welcome, ask the management. As a general rule for the Kansas City area:

  • Panera Bread in the Kansas City metro prefers that dogs not be present on their patios.
  • Chipotle and SONIC do welcome dogs.
